Privacy policy

In plain English: what we collect when you ask for an audit or book a call, why we collect it, where it's kept, who handles it for us, and how to see it or have it deleted.

Last updated October 10, 2026

TBDHave a lawyer review this policy before launch, and fill in the legal business name and mailing address below.

Who we are

BookedNorth runs Google Ads, landing pages and Google Maps listings for home-service businesses. We're responsible for the personal information described here. Our privacy contact is hello@bookednorth.com.

Legal name and mailing address: [TBD]

What we collect

Only what you type into one of our forms, plus a little about how you found us:

  • Your request: your trade, the city you want more work in, your first name, your phone number and, if you add it, your business name. If you book a call, the time you picked.
  • Where the request came from: the page you sent it from, the website that sent you to us (the referrer), and any campaign tags in the link you clicked (UTM tags and Google's ad click ID). Your browser holds these for the current visit only and sends them with your form. Nothing is sent until you submit.
  • Country and browser: the country your connection comes from, so we show Canadian or US pricing, and your browser type, to help us spot spam.
  • One cookie: if you open a link with ?geo= in it, a cookie called bn_geo remembers whether to show Canadian or US pricing until you close your browser. It holds nothing else.

We don't use advertising cookies or analytics trackers on this site. If that changes, this page will say so first.

Why we collect it

  • To call or text you about your audit, or about the call you booked.
  • To prepare the audit for your trade and your city.
  • To see which pages and ads bring in requests, so we can improve them.

We don't add you to a mailing list or send you marketing texts. By sending a form you agree that we can contact you about that request.

Where it's stored

Your request is saved in a database run by Supabase in its Canada (Central) region, in Montréal. The website is hosted by Vercel, whose servers handle your form on its way to that database; those servers may be outside Canada, including in the United States.

Who handles it for us

These companies process it on our behalf, only to provide their service to us:

  • Supabase — stores your request (Canada region).
  • Vercel — hosts this website and handles the form when you send it.
  • Quo — our business phone line, for calls and texts to you.
  • Resend — sends our emails, such as a booking confirmation.

Some of these companies are based in the United States, and information they handle may be subject to US law.

How long we keep it

24 months from the last time we were in touch, then we delete it. If you become a client, we keep it for as long as you're a client, and after that only as long as tax and accounting rules require.

Seeing, fixing or deleting your information

Email hello@bookednorth.com to ask what we hold about you, to correct it, or to have it deleted. We'll reply within 30 days. To stop texts, reply STOP to any text from us. If you're not happy with our answer, you can complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.

We don't sell it

We never sell, rent or trade your information, and we never pass your request to another contractor. Your lead is yours.

Keeping it safe

Forms are sent over an encrypted connection (HTTPS), and only the people working on your request can see it. If we ever have a breach that could harm you, we'll tell you and the Privacy Commissioner, as the law requires.

Changes

If we change this policy, we'll update it here and change the date at the top.
